Yosemite Wedding Receptions

There are wonderful and varying types of indoor and outdoor Yosemite wedding reception facilities available, both inside and outside of Yosemite National Park. At any of the following establishments seating can also be set up for weddings on their beautiful grounds, lawn, or meadow areas.

(Note: For couples not planning formal receptions, outdoor picnic celebrations in or around Yosemite are very popular, and certainly the way to go when trying to keep costs down.)

Receptions in Yosemite Valley itself are held at The Ahwahnee, the Yosemite Lodge, and Curry Village. In a different area of Yosemite known as Wawona (near the Highway 41 entrance of Yosemite) receptions are held at the Victorian Wawona Hotel.

Meal celebrations for small groups or for the couple only are much more cost-effective if a table or small grouping of tables is reserved in the majestic dining room at The Ahwahnee or the Mountain Room at the Yosemite Lodge, both of which have fantastic views of the high cliffs and Yosemite Falls, or in the dining room at the Victorian Wawona Hotel. Your guests would order from the regular menu. If you start talking about a more elaborate reception, however, you will be referred to a different department, and costs will be higher.

Cedar Lodge in El Portal (along the Merced River near the Highway 140 entrance to Yosemite). Cedar Lodge has a very nice meeting room for weddings and receptions, which has a rock fireplace and adjoining kitchen. It also has a beautiful large suite for weddings and receptions, which includes a large patio and private swimming pool.
